Welcome, Pastor Laitinen! — South Central District

On Sunday, July 30, 2023, Dan Laitinen was installed as the discipleship pastor at Divine Savior in Missouri City, Texas. Dan is a familiar face here in the South Central District having served previously at Holy Word in Austin, Texas, and also as a World Missions pastor based out of Austin.

Pastor Patrick Freese from Abita Springs, Louisiana, preached for the special occasion. Patrick and Kevin Boushek, who also is a pastor at Divine Savior, we’re all classmates while attending Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.

His wife, Hannah, will also be serving at Divine Savior as a middle school teacher and high school coach at the academy. Dan and Hannah and their four children live in the Sienna community and are eager to reach out to their neighbors and make new friends.
